Castille Soap Enema
Castille Soap can be used to further cleanse the colon. After using a soap solution, you might want to follow with a
simple water enema to prevent irritation.
Castille soap sometimes comes in a 0.3 oz. (9ml) packet. This packet can be combined with 2 quarts (1.7 liters) of
water to make a nice enema solution.
Mineral Oil Enema
Mineral Oil can be used as a laxative. It can lubricate the colon and allow for added cleansing. Mix 1 fluid Ounce
(about 30 ml) of mineral oil with 2 quarts of water. Administer.
Mineral Oil can also be taken orally as a laxative.
Coffee Enemas
Coffee enemas have been used in the past for colonic cleansing. People believe that the coffee assists the large
intestine and liver in getting rid of the toxic substances that have accumulated there. . I won't judge because I'm not
a doctor. Here is the recipe.
1 tablespoon of coffee grounds (use ones that have been brewed or percolated) per quart of water. Mix the grounds
and water together.
You will probably want to use a bag with a larger nozzle (so the grounds can pass through easily).
You will also want to shake the mixture before administering.
Lemon Juice Enema
Lemon Juice is said to help cleanse your colon of feces. Use 1/3 cup real-lemon (unsweetened lemon juice) per
quart. Lemon juice may increase the cramping; You may or may not want to stay away from this.
Epson Salts Enema
Epsom Salts (2 tablespoons per quart) can be soothing to the colon. Epsom salts increase the amont of water
absorbed by the intestine and have a laxative effect. You may find that epsom salts make a nice cleanser. You can
also soak your feet in epsom salts, please don't use the same solution to do so. Yuck.
Salt Water Enema
By adding salt to the water solution you reduced the transfer of water into and out of the colon. This prevents filling
your kidneys and bladder with water. It will eliminate the frequent trips needed to urinate while receiving enemas.
Add 1 tablespoon of salt per quart of water. So, for a two quart solution use 2 tablespoons of salt.
Mild Milk Enema
Here is one of the mildest enema solutions I have ever found. Remember that 102 degrees is a good temperature
(that is about 39.5 degrees Celsius).
1 1/2 quarts of warm water 16 oz. of warm milk 1 tablespoon of olive oil
To get the temperature right, warm the milk in the microwave or on the stove, add it and the olive oil to the bag.
Next, add the water to the bag adjusting the temperature as you go.
Adding 1 tablespoon of honey to this solution makes the "milk and honey" enema recipe.
Milk and Honey Enema
Supposedly the honey helps irritable bowels. I can't vouch for that, but I do know that this is a fairly gentle mixture.

1 1/2 quarts of warm water 16 oz. of warm milk
